Jehovah's prayer

Thank god!

According to the biblical Genesis, Abraham, the ancestor of Israel, was promised by the Lord God that his descendants would be as many as stars and grains of sand in the future (Genesis 12: 1-3, 13: 14- 17). When Abraham was old, he finally got a son named Isaac from his wife Sarah.

In order to predict to people that he would use his son as a sin offering to save those who would rely on him, God ordered Abraham to take his beloved son Isaac to Mount Moriah and offer his only son as a burnt offering. Abraham obeyed God's command, took his son and sacrificial utensils, and walked for three days to the destination indicated by God.

At the destination, Abraham told his servant to wait a while and go to the place of sacrifice with his son. Because Abraham didn't bring a lamb for sacrifice, Isaac asked Abraham curiously, and Abraham said, "My son, God will personally prepare the lamb for burnt offering." (Gen. 22:8)

When Abraham came to the place of sacrifice, he built an altar and bound his son Isaac on the altar. When everything is ready, Abraham will reach out and offer his son as a sacrifice. The angel of God called Abraham from heaven and told him not to hurt his son. Therefore, God knows Abraham's fear of him. So let us know how much God loves us and really gave up his only son, Jesus Christ, and died on the cross for us.

When the angel's words were finished, Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the horns of a ram locked in a dense small tree, so he offered a burnt offering instead of his son.

Abraham named the place "Elk of the Lord" (meaning "The Lord will prepare"), and people still say to this day, "On the mountain of the Lord, there will be preparation." (Gen 22: 14)

God bless you, amen!
