The Lu Xun Literature Award is named after Mr. Lu Xun, the great standard-bearer of China's New Culture Movement. Its purpose is to encourage the creation of excellent short stories, reportage, poetry, prose, essays, literary theories and critical works, encourage the translation of excellent foreign literary works, and promote the prosperity and development of socialist literature. It is one of the highest literary awards in China.
Lu Xun Literature Award is selected every three years. Currently, the following awards are included:
National Excellent Novella Award; National Excellent Short Story Award; National Outstanding Reportage Literature Award; National Excellent Poetry Award; National Excellent Prose Essay Award; National Excellent Literary Theory and Literary Criticism Award; National outstanding literary translation award.
Mao Dun Literature Prize —— The Highest Prize of China's Novels
Mao Dun Literature Award is sponsored by Chinese Writers Association. It was established on 198 1 according to Mr. Mao Dun's last wish. Mao Dun donated 250,000 yuan and decided that Ba Jin would be the director of the jury. The award was established to introduce and praise novel writers and works, and it is one of the highest literary awards in China at present.
