Nineteen Ancient Poems is a collection of five-character poems written by ancient Chinese literati, compiled by Xiao Tong in the Southern Dynasties from nineteen ancient poems handed down by an unknown poet. This 19 poem is used to the first sentence as follows:
Again, grass by the green river, cypress on the green mausoleum, a good feast today,
There are tall buildings in the northwest, wading to collect hibiscus, moonlit lanterns, solitary bamboo in Ran Ran,
There are strange trees and morning glory all the way in the court. When I got back to the car, I said, Dongcheng is tall and long.
Driving to the east gate, staying in Japan, less than a hundred years old, lingering clouds and dusk,
It's freezing in Mengdong, and how bright the moon is for guests from afar.
Nineteen Ancient Poems is a remarkable symbol of the humanization of Yuefu ancient poems, which profoundly reproduces the disillusionment and sinking, the awakening and pain of the soul during the great transformation of social thought in the late Han Dynasty, and expresses several basic and common feelings and thoughts in life. The language of the whole poem is simple and natural, the description is vivid and vivid, and it has a natural artistic style. It shows the philosophical artistic conception of the master and Confucianism everywhere, and is called "the crown of five words" by Liu Xie (Wen Xin Diao Long).
Nineteen Ancient Poems, which first appeared in Selected Works, were compiled by children in the Southern Dynasties based on unknown ancient poems handed down from generation to generation. The editor pieced together these five-character poems that the author could not verify and named them Miscellaneous Poems.
There are different opinions about the author and age of Nineteen Ancient Poems. The bet on the topic of anthology of Zhao Ming's Miscellaneous Poems and Nineteen Ancient Poems once explained clearly: "Ancient poems are parallel, but the author is unknown." It is said that there are works by Mei Cheng, Yi Fu, Cao Zhi and RoyceWong. For example, eight of them are titled "Poems on Yutai" by Han Meicheng, but there is no basis, and later generations suspect that it is inaccurate. Another example is Cao Zhi's "To Ying's Family", which describes the depression scene after Luoyang was burned. However, in the eyes of the poet of "Nineteen Poems", Luoyang is still a double palace, and the first residence of the princes has not yet been settled, and the crown and the banquet are the same. And before Luoyang was destroyed, RoyceWong was still young and Cao Zhi was not born. A comprehensive survey of the emotional tendency, social life and skillful artistic skills of Nineteen Ancient Poems shows that it was not written by one person and one place, but was produced decades before Shun Di arrived in Xian Di in the Eastern Han Dynasty, that is, before Jian 'an in the late Han Dynasty.
I hope it helps you.
