The Book of Songs is the earliest collection of poems, about 2000 years ago. It collected 305 poems from the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty to about 500 years before and after the Spring and Autumn Period.
According to the musical nature, the works in The Book of Songs can be divided into three categories: wind, elegance and ode. Feng belongs to local music, which was the music songs of various vassal States at that time, mostly folk songs. Tooth is the music of the Western Zhou Dynasty, which is divided into tooth and two parts.
The contents of 305 works in The Book of Songs are very rich. In addition to the poems reflecting the people's working life and patriotic feelings at that time, the heavy conscription work at that time can always be seen in the poets' chanting, and the poems reflecting class oppression and slavery accounted for a large proportion. This part of the works profoundly reveals the nature of slavery, exposes the cruelty of slave owners and nobles, and shows the people's painful groans and strong desire to get rid of oppression.
