In the area of Changbai Mountain,
Sorghum in China
Is growing in the blood.
Dafengshali

Riding through his hometown.
He's back:
The enemy's head,
Hang it on an iron gun!

Appreciation: This is a street poem with short and pithy form and easy-to-understand language. Short poems use line drawing to outline a colorful picture with concise and powerful language. As a background, a large area of sorghum in Changbai Mountain "grows in the blood". Poets grasp the characteristics of things to describe, which makes people have rich associations: "the backbone of China", the unyielding nation is fighting bloody battles, and the people's armed forces are thriving in the battle ... The main image in this context is "a volunteer army", a people's soldier who returned home triumphantly after the baptism of war, riding back to his hometown from the battlefield of gunfire and smoke. The poem does not directly depict the fierce and heroic battle scene, but gives such a close-up: "The enemy's head is hanging on the iron gun!" " "The image and heroism of the soldiers are just and brave! Although this poem is short and pithy, and its expression is concise and powerful, it is indeed a masterpiece in poetry.
