Send Tu Zhao Shaofuyan

Author: Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty

Climb the tall building at night and look out, the trees are falling across the two rivers clear.

Hanshan is full of greenery and Lianzhou City is beautiful.

Watching Chu Yun disappear, my heart is filled with sadness.

The lovesickness is invisible, looking back on old friendships.

Translation

At night, I climbed up to the high building and looked around. The two rivers were beautiful and the leaves were falling.

The mountains are cold and green, and the beauty is connected to the city.

Looking far into the distance, Chu Yun disappears at the end of the sky, and the sound of wild geese is heard in the sky, which makes people feel sad.

We miss each other but it’s hard to see each other. Looking back, we feel deeply attached to each other.

Li Bai's poetry creation has a strong subjective color, which mainly focuses on expressing heroic spirit and passionate feelings, and rarely gives detailed descriptions of objective things and specific times. The free and uninhibited temperament, the arrogant and independent personality, and the strong emotions that are easy to touch and explode form the distinctive characteristics of Li Bai's lyrical style of poetry. He tends to be eruptive. Once his emotions are aroused, they rush out without restraint, like a violent surge in the sky and an erupting volcano. His imagination is strange, often has unusual connections, and changes with the flow of emotions.
