Ten gifted scholars in Dali refer to ten famous poets in Tang Daizong during Dali period. According to Yao He's Ji Xuan Collection and Tang Xinshu, the ten gifted scholars are Li Duan, Lu Lun, Ji Zhongfu, Han Han, Qian Qi, Si Kongshu, Miao Fa, Cui Dong (masterpiece), Geng Kun and Xia Houshen. Ten gifted scholars are not a school of poetry, but a creative group of an era. They have no teacher-student relationship, no clear artistic ideas, and have nothing to do with Olympic aid. Most of them are frustrated middle-and lower-class literati and diners, so they often "join the system". The basic theme of their poems is to praise the peace, praise the mountains and rivers and live in seclusion. His poems are rigorous in meter, accurate in wording and sentence making, and commonly used in composition, with five words as the best. His epigrams and famous articles are everywhere, and sometimes there are amazing pens, which are worthy of the name of a gifted scholar. Because they all focus on the formal skills of poetry, sometimes showing traces of carving, sometimes hurting people with words, and inclined to aesthetics, their bearing pattern is far from that of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
