In the old society, Wang Xietang flew into the homes of ordinary people. What does this poem mean?

In the mid-Tang Dynasty, the style of Tang poetry changed, instead of Chen Ziang's high spirits and Li Bai's elegance, it was a gentle and honest poem. We feel the people's sufferings from Bai Juyi's "Selling Charcoal to See Wheat Cutting", the beauty of the picture from Liu Changqing's poems and the beauty of philosophy from Liu Yuxi's poems.

Although Liu Yuxi is called a "poet", there are indeed many lofty sentiments in his poems. But his lofty sentiments are not comparable to those of Li Bai and others.

Li Bai's lofty sentiments are the glory given to the prosperous Tang Dynasty, while Liu Yuxi's lofty sentiments are the recognition of his position by the literati in the middle Tang Dynasty. Although I am not necessarily worried about the fate of the Tang Dynasty, I have begun to think about history and turn it into a concern for life. Therefore, his poems have more and more philosophical charm, which directly affects the rational taste in later Song poetry.

For example, this most popular famous sentence about the history of Tang poetry hides feelings, and the word 14 describes the rise and fall of history. Look:

There are some weeds blooming by the Suzaku Bridge, and there is only sunset at the corner of Wuyi Lane.

Swallows under the eaves of Wang Dao and Xie An have now flown into the homes of ordinary people.

I believe most people are familiar with this Tang poem. After all, it is famous. He has been selected into 300 Tang poems and many Chinese textbooks. The title of this ancient poem is Wuyi Lane, which is one of Liu Yuxi's poems "Five Topics of Jinling" and the most representative one. Especially at the end of the poem, "In the old days, Wang Xietang flew into the homes of ordinary people", which has been recognized by many people for thousands of years, has already become a famous sentence and a classic.

Suzaku Bridge, located outside Jinling, is the throat leading to Jinling City. During the Three Kingdoms period, it was once the imperial garrison of Soochow. Therefore, Jinling City is prosperous, and it must be prosperous here; With the decline of Jinling City, there are naturally fewer doors here. The poem says that the bridge is "overgrown with weeds and full of flowers", which naturally shows that it has long been in decline and is uninhabited.

Sunset sets at the entrance of Wuyi Lane. When I came to Jinling City, I saw the weeds around the Suzaku Bridge, and I felt sad for history. At this time, the image of "sunset" was introduced, which endowed this ancient poem with profound connotation. When Jinling City is prosperous, it is bound to be prosperous, but now there is only a sunset here, shining only those unknown weeds and flowers! The sad sight of the sunset suddenly appeared before our eyes.

"In the past, Wang thanked the hall and flew into the homes of ordinary people." These two Tang poems are the crowning touch of this ancient poem and the most abundant poems. The author uses "Yan", a creature beyond history, to survey the past and present, and tries his best to write the feelings expressed in this ancient poem. Here, Swallow became a witness, crossed the rift of the times, successfully integrated the history of Jin and Tang dynasties for hundreds of years, and expressed the sense of rise and fall of history.

This ancient poem is Liu Yuxi's most outstanding Tang poetry. The last two sentences, 14, only write flying swallows in the air, expressing the poet's feelings about the rise and fall of the world. It's really ingenious. Just like "wild flowers" and "sunset" in the first two sentences, this image setting makes this ancient poem meaningful and memorable, and also reflects the unique charm of classical poetry.

When I studied this ancient poem in high school, I didn't really understand its meaning. After more than ten years, the taste of re-reading is completely different.
