Characteristics of poetic language

A poetic, interesting and tasteful language is a poetic language. Poetic language should have three characteristics:

First, we should have the artistic conception and charm of classical poetry;

Second, the use of classical poetry;

Third, the use of poetic style, the so-called poetic style is similar to classical poetry, generally using a large number of short sentences, using even sentences and using couplets.

Confucius said, "Without words, you can't go far." Poetic language should be the best literary talent and should last forever.

How to make language poetic?

First, use:

There are two ways to touch and use: one is to seize the fetus and turn it into bone, and the other is to turn iron into gold.

Hui Hong's "Cold Zhai Night Talk" Volume I records Gu Yun: "Poems are infinite, but talents are limited. They have limited talent, but they pursue infinite meaning ... but they make their words difficult, which is called bone-changing method; Looking at its meaning, it is called the method of taking a fetus. " The so-called "replacing bones with fetuses" means pointing out the poems of the ancients, bringing forth the old and creating new artistic conception, striving for novelty and avoiding vulgarity.

Huang Tingjian said in "Answering Hong Ju's Father's Letter": "Those who can write in ancient times can really cultivate everything. Although the eyes of the ancients entered calligraphy, they did a little magic and turned stone into gold. " "Diantie becomes gold" is a method of learning classical written language to melt and cast poetic language. The melting and casting from "iron" to "gold" means that the language of poetry must be tempered by poets.

Second, the porcelain method.

Poetry has a leap, which is well handled, not only invisible, but also intriguing. Poetry often uses "blank space" to achieve this leap.

Blank is a kind of unspeakable beauty. I think it is more appropriate to fill in the blanks, or you can speak out loud instead of being silent.

How to make up? Grasp the touching "micro-end" and make a detailed poetic description. This not only fills the blank with details, but also poeticizes the language with delicate feelings, triggering the reader's soul and realizing "seamless docking". I call this poetic language method "porcelain". The difficulty of "porcelain" lies in nailing the original poem, which will not only destroy the original beauty, but also add new charm.

Third, the conversion method.

In the past, a major difficulty in Chinese teaching was the translation of ancient poems. The teaching of ancient poetry translation is too rigid, how can it be poetic?

Personally, cultivating students' language conversion ability is the key to break the rigidity of ancient poetry translation teaching. Don't we often say that we can use languages flexibly, that is, we can change languages freely? Convert the language of poetry into the language of prose, then temper the language of prose into the language of poetry, and so on until it becomes one. In this way, not only the sentence pattern will be flexible, but also the semantics will be rich and interesting. In this way, language can be poetic.

Gong Zizhen said in "Poems of Tang Haiqiu in the Later Han Dynasty": "Poetry and people are one, there is no poem outside people, and there is no one outside poetry." This is the core element of poetic language. I don't understand amorous feelings, but it's just a ruthless splicing, just a word game, not to mention poetic language.
