Guangde is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province and is managed by Xuancheng City. Located in the west of the Yangtze River Delta, southeast of Anhui Province, at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, it is connected with Changxing County and Anji County in Zhejiang Province in the east and southeast, Ningguo City in the south, Xuanzhou District and Langxi County in Xuancheng City in the west, and liyang city and Yixing City in Jiangsu Province in the north.
Guangde was called Tonglu in ancient times, and the county seat has a history of 1800 years. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it belonged to Wu, Yue and Chu successively. At the beginning of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Sun Wu demolished the area east of Xuancheng and set up Guangde County. Guangde City is located between 30 37 ′-312 ′ north latitude and119 02 ′-19 40 ′ east longitude, and belongs to subtropical monsoon maritime climate.

Taiji Cave, the largest cave in East China, is known as one of the "four wonders of the world". The south is surrounded by mountains and numerous water systems. Fan Zhongyan, a famous minister in the Song Dynasty, once wrote a poem praising "the clouds are late, and poetry is unique". Later generations built a thousand hectares of Land Rover Lake here, which complements the ten thousand mu of bamboo sea.
geographical environment
Guangde City is located in the transition zone between the mountainous area in southern Anhui and the plain along the river, and its landform pattern is more complicated. The southern part is dominated by low mountains, and mountain canyons are developed. The lithology of these mountains varies greatly, including adamellite, quartzite, sandstone, siltstone and limestone. The central part is dominated by hills (terraces) and plains, from which rivers in the city flow northwest and enter the county seat of langxi.
The northern part is dominated by hills, with only low mountains winding at the junction of Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The lithology of the hills is similar to that of the southern low mountains, but the limestone is pure and thick, and typical subtropical underground caves have developed. The highest point in the territory is Ma 'anshan in the south, with an altitude of 863.3 meters, and the lowest point is Shizikou on the northwest edge, with an altitude of 14.5 meters.
