Zhao Jiran (January 23, 1963 - September 30, 2021) was an older generation of rock drummers in Beijing. He grew up in the cave walking trend and the rock movement. He served as the drummer for new bands such as Mu Tui Gua. , whose representative works include the album "Living in 1988".
On September 30, 2021, Zhao Jianran died of illness at the age of 58.
Performing experience:
At the end of 2002, with the help of some friends, Zhao began to perform in public, but not frequently. Sometimes he sings well, sometimes he doesn't, it all depends on his health and mental state. For most performances, he has to drink first.
In 2003, he released his first official solo album on the Malqu folk label. The main tracks include "Am I Your Favorite Person", "Unbearable Loneliness", "White Temple", "Maple Leaves Are Red", "Tramp", "Golden Mountain in Beijing", "There is a Girl Named Frustrated" , "Carefree" and so on.
From 2004 to 2005, the boss also joined singer Zhang Chu’s band and occasionally performed abroad.
