Reformed theology has three main characteristics: the centrality of God, the centrality of Christ and pluralism.
The centrality of God emphasizes that God's sovereignty governs everything, so we can draw three conclusions: first, man's self-knowledge can only be obtained under the illumination of God's knowledge, that is, only God can make people know himself and his sins through the Holy Spirit and the Bible; Second, salvation is entirely God's job, because man has been ruled by sin and cannot save himself. Third, the whole life of individuals and groups must be governed by God, and our life and system must be based on the Bible and be responsible to God.
Taking Christ as the center, that is, Christ is the center of all things, and through Christians, God can be known. Christ is God's beloved son, and through him, he can be redeemed.
Pluralism, that is, tolerance of different opinions under the general principle, shows the vitality of reformed theology. For example, in Britain in the17th century, there were Puritans william perkins and john owen, and in Scotland, there were Samuel Rutherford and Thomas Boston. /kloc-in the 0/8th century, there were American Jonathan Edwards,/kloc-in the 0/9th century, Charles Hodge and B.B. Warfield from Princeton Theological Seminary, and Abraham Cooper and Herman Bavinck from the Netherlands. Famous missionaries George George Whitefield, missionaries william carey and Adoniran Judson, pastor Si Buzhen and Martin Lloyd Jones all believed in reformed theology. In the 20th century, there were Presbyterian pastor James Boice (Eber or Bü bner), Baptist pastor John Piper, linguist pastor C. J. Mahaney, Mark Driscoll engaged in post-modern ministry, and Tim Keller of New York State. Reformed theology is quite innovative, such as cornelius Van til and Xue Hua in nursing teaching, Gilhardos Voss (Wei Sijian or Huo Zhiheng) in biblical theology, meredith Klein and Herman Redboss, Jay Adams, David polson and Paul Tripp who were persuaded by the Bible, and Covenant theology (or Covenant theology) developed by reformed theology, but these innovations are all based on 《 Two leading evangelical theologians, J.I.Packer of the Anglican Church and Carl F.H. Henry of the Baptist Church, both hold reformed theology. (From Baidu Encyclopedia "Reformed Theology"-Theological Features)
