In fact, this shallow, short and narrow expression is the same meaning. Although the seemingly shallow strait is insurmountable at present, it expresses the author's grief and indignation that it is still difficult to realize his desire to return to his hometown even if the two sides are clearly separated. At the same time, it is understandable that the depth of the Taiwan Strait is shallow compared with the deep feelings of compatriots on both sides of the strait. In addition, the use of reduplication here makes the whole poem depressed, such as resentment.
