Cen Can (7 15—770), a new savage in Nanyang, was a famous poet in Tang Dynasty. Born in a bureaucratic family, his great-grandfather, great-grandfather and great-grandfather were all officials under the prime minister, and his father was also a minister of state twice. In the eighth year of Tianbao (749), Cen Can was appointed as the secretary of the shogunate of Gao Xianzhi, the ambassador of Anxi four towns, went to Anxi and returned to Chang 'an three years later. In the 13th year of Tianbao (754), he served as an Anxi court to make Judge Feng Changqing go to the frontier again. After the Anshi Rebellion, Du Fu and others recommended him to fill the right vacancy after returning to Korea in the second year of Zhide (757). In the first year of Dali (766), he was appointed as the secretariat of Jiazhou and later dismissed from office. When I wanted to go back to my hometown, I died in Chengdu Hotel, which was called "Cenjiazhou" in history.
Cen Can lived in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty, but he didn't want to trade articles for fame. On the contrary, he was eager to contribute to the frontier fortress and spent six years in the army. Many of his excellent poems were written at this time. He deserves to be the representative of romantic poetry in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. His poems are as famous as Gao Shi and are called "Gao Cen". Representative works include Ben Ma River Farewell to the General of the Western Expedition, Bai Xuege, Snow Song in Tianshan Mountain, etc. Poetry has a wide range of themes, among which frontier poems are numerous and of high quality. Cen Jiazhou's poems have been handed down from generation to generation, and more than 400 of his poems have been included in the whole Tang poetry. There are "Notes on Cen Can's Poetry" and so on today.
