Lu Xun Literature Award is a literary award named after Mr. Lu Xun, the great standard-bearer of China New Culture Movement. Together with Lao She Literature Award, Mao Dun Literature Award and Cao Yu Drama Literature Award, it is called the four major literary awards in China. Established in 1986. Lu Xun Literature Award is one of the highest honors in China. It aims to reward excellent novellas, short stories, reportage, poems and essays.
The creation of literary theory criticism has rewarded the translation of Chinese and foreign literary works and promoted the prosperity and development of China's literary career. Lu Xun Literature Award is selected once every two years, and Lu Xun Literature Award is selected once every four years. Works with excellent ideological and artistic quality in a certain literary genre will be selected this year. The first prize started with 1997, and the works of 1995- 1996 were selected.

The awarding work of Lu Xun's literature prize is undertaken by the awarding committee composed of literary genre and category respectively.
Each award committee has an award office to handle the specific work of awards. The members of the Award Committee are influential writers, theorists, critics and literary organizers in the literary world, and the appropriate number is 1 1. Members of the Award Committee should not cross.
Each session of the judges should be updated 1/2 or more than the previous session. Judges outside Beijing should account for more than 1/3 of the total number of judges. The list of judges shall be determined by the secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association on the basis of extensive consultation, submitted to the presidium and reported to the higher authorities for the record.
