My thoughts after reading "The Temperature of History 2"

My daughter's literary class teacher recommended a series of books to the children in the class - "The Temperature of History". When I heard that my children wanted to read the book, I quickly bought the whole set without saying a word, thinking that even if she gave up halfway, I can watch it too.

After receiving the book, I read the author's preface and was immediately attracted. The author said in the preface that history is not just cold years and numbers. Behind it are warm stories and flesh-and-blood people. People have pros and cons, pros and cons. We should be as dialectical as possible, combined with the environment at that time, and put ourselves in the shoes of those historical events and historical figures, instead of preconceived positions or judging an event or person from a "God's perspective."

I started reading "The Temperature of History 2", and there are three articles that left a particularly deep impression on me. One is "Zhang Xun", and the other is "Chinese people accept "nude art". In the end, How difficult is it? ", one article is "That "One Night in Beijing" 24 Years Ago".

The reason why I was so impressed by the first article "Zhang Xun" is that I vaguely remembered that there was a small chapter about Zhang Xun's restoration in the high school history textbook. But at that time, in addition to remembering the time and events of Zhang Xun's restoration, No more impression. Why did Zhang Xun have the courage to restore power? Why can he succeed in restoration? Why did the restoration succeed but collapse immediately? Why did he have a good death in the end? The author described Zhang Xun's birth and growth environment, his background at that time, and his "bravery, righteousness, loyalty, recklessness, and luck". What was shown to me was a full and three-dimensional person.

This kind of narrative makes me no longer simply remember that such a person set off a restoration event at that point, and the related memories become much richer.

Why is the second article "How difficult is it for Chinese people to accept "nude art"? 》? Maybe it’s because I come from an art major. Before I took the college entrance examination, I copied the human body sketches of many masters. I also knew that if I chose a pure art major in college, I would continue to copy and sketch human bodies in more depth. It is something that we art students are accustomed to seeing, but we never expected to experience such difficult twists and turns. When we were in Shanghai, we would go to the Liu Haisu Art Museum to see some exhibitions. After reading this article, we understood how much pressure Liu Haisu endured at the time and insisted on using mannequins.

Times are progressing, and concepts are also being updated. Nowadays, it is better for everyone to accept that the human body is also a kind of art, which is related to traditional Chinese (painting), oil (painting), print (painting), and sculpture (sculpture). A basic skill for those who work and study in pure arts.

The third article "That "One Night in Beijing 24 Years Ago"" may be more relevant to the recent Winter Olympics. At the 101st Plenary Session of the International Olympic Committee in September 1993, Samaranch announced that the host city of the 2000 Olympic Games would be Sydney (at that time, almost every Chinese person thought it must be Beijing), which was a big blow to China at the time. We further understood ourselves and the international environment we were in at that time.

In 2008, fireworks bloomed over the Bird's Nest in Beijing, proving to the world that China is fully capable of delivering an outstanding Olympic Games. The opening ceremony was directed by Zhang Yimou, and the overall tone at that time was to prove that we could host the Olympics well. At the 2022 Winter Olympics, the opening ceremony was still directed by Zhang Yimou, who used the 24 solar terms countdown to harmoniously unify the Chinese time civilization, long-herited poetry, and images of modern life, demonstrating China's capabilities in scientific and technological aesthetics and highlighting our cultural confidence.

After the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, the reporter interviewed Zhang Yimou. He expressed: We conveyed the concept of moving toward the future together, conveyed the idea that the world can overcome difficulties, defeat the epidemic, and embrace a better future** *Same values.

From 1993 to 2022, it has spanned a century and nearly 20 years. As a Chinese, we are proud.

In September this year, my hometown, Hangzhou, will host the 19th Asian Games. The logo is composed of a fan, the Qiantang River, the tide of the Qianjiang River, and the track as the basic elements, adhering to the "green, We are looking forward to the conference concept of smart, frugal and civilized, Chinese characteristics, Zhejiang style, Hangzhou charm, etc.

I recently finished reading "The Temperature of History 3" and started reading it! "The Temperature of History 5" (4 was borrowed by my daughter's classmate). Among the 3, the more impressive ones include "Why did Yan Fu's life eventually turn a corner" and "I guess my heart is broken every year and I dare not remember, "Changjin Lake", "Human Tragedy: The Shadow Behind the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident", the reason for the deep impression - will be continued in the next article.
