The most obvious sign is, of course, the poem wall in Changde, China. This 3-kilometer-long poetry gallery in Yu Jiancheng, which lasted for 10 years, meandered quietly along the Yuanshui River, and was inlaid with more than 1000 poems by more than 900 contemporary calligraphers. It is divided into six chapters: vicissitudes of life, celebrity poems, Wuling Jiazhi, Lan Zhi Fenghua, China New Voice, and English on five continents. The rhyme of poetry and the elegance of calligraphy and painting complement each other. In September 2000, kiness headquarters named it "the longest artistic wall of poetry, calligraphy and painting in the world". Because of the poem wall, the number of poets and tourists coming to Changde has increased year by year. 1999 Mid-Autumn Festival, Taiwan Province poet Yu Guangzhong stood in front of his famous poem "Homesickness", deeply moved, and happily wrote the four characters "Great Wall of Poetic Country" for the poem wall.
Yes, poetry is around. In 2003, the first China Changde Poets' Festival was held. At the opening ceremony, a poetic performance with Changde characteristics was a great success. Poetry recitation is brilliant, and the stage echoes each other. Experts from China Poetry Society are "crazy" and immediately investigate and demonstrate. As a result, the plaque of "China City of Poetry" settled in Changde; In 2004, the second China Changde Poets' Festival "Poetic Home" series of poetry activities attracted many poets and lovers. Poetry contest, the special issue of Peach Blossom Spring and the open poetry salon set off a wave of poetry. Walking on the streets of the city, as long as you pay a little attention, you will find those large and small facades, many of which are still affixed with poetry couplets ... Changde, a rising new city in northwest Hunan, has become a new symbol of Changde not only in culture but also in poetry.
Thank God for keeping me in the city of poetry. Today, poetry is still my dream, but there is no need to leave home to pursue her. Recently, I heard that the city will bid for the World Congress of Poets, which is an important measure to build a "famous cultural city". If it succeeds, the whole city will go "crazy" again. I think I really can't live without Changde, an ancient and modern city of poetry.
