the Yangtze River
Tian Xiang, Wen Song
I swam downwind in Beihai for a few days and came back from the head of the Yangtze River.
My heart is a magnet, which doesn't mean that the South won't rest.
To annotate ...
1, Yangtze River: another name for the Yangtze River.
2. Beihai: This refers to the north.
3, back from: back. The first two sentences said that he was detained by Yuan people a few days ago and was forced to wander in the north for some time. Today, I finally returned to the Yangtze River.
4, magnetic needle stone: that is, compass.
5. South: This refers to the Southern Song Dynasty. These two words mean that my loyalty to the Southern Song Dynasty will never change, just as the compass always points to the south. I won't rest until the Southern Song Dynasty is restored.

For many days, I have been drifting downwind in the North Sea, and now I have bypassed the Yangtze River.
My heart is like that compass. I won't stop until I point south.

Yao Dian says, "Poetry expresses ambition, while songs express ambition." Poetry always expresses people's thoughts, feelings and wishes. This poem was written when Wen Tianxiang escaped from the Yuan Army and ran to Fuzhou (when Duan Zongyue ascended the throne in Fuzhou). The poet used metaphors and emotions to express his firm belief that he would not stop until the Southern Song Dynasty, which truly reflected the author's loyalty and love for the motherland. The first sentence uses words such as "everyday", "downwind" and "going to the North Sea" to write the life when being detained by Yuan people in a relaxed style. The words "Hui Cong" and "Yangtze River Head" are a kind tone. Three or four sentences of "I am loyal to the Southern Song Dynasty" are compared with "Southern Song Dynasty", and finally end with "I refuse to rest", which shows Wen Tianxiang's loyalty to the Southern Song Dynasty.
author
Wen Tianxiang (A.D. 1236-1282) was born in Luling, Jizhou (now Ji 'an, Jiangxi) in the Song Dynasty. He was a great national hero and poet in the late Southern Song Dynasty. At the age of 20, he won the first place in the Jinshi examination. He served as a Langguan in the Ministry of Punishment, Zhirui and Ganzhou, and the official was the right prime minister. Yuan Bing went south, he negotiated with Yuan on behalf of the Southern Song Dynasty, was detained, then fled, rose up to resist, was defeated and captured, and finally died heroically. Later generations built a Confucian temple on the former site of the prison army where Wen was held as a memorial. Throughout his life, he wrote a poem about the dangers he suffered and the deeds of his comrades-in-arms, entitled "A Guide to the Southern Tour", which is a history of poetry. Song of Righteousness written by most prisons is especially read by later generations. There is The Complete Works of Mr. Wenshan.
