The present continuous tense indicates the ongoing action or the state of being.
Present continuous tense: subject +be verb (am? /yes? /are)+ verb ing form [present participle]
Affirmative sentence: subject +be verb (am? /yes? /are)+ verb ing+ others.
Negative sentence: subject +be verb (am? /yes? /are)+not+ verb ing+ others.
General interrogative sentence: Be verb+subject+verb ing+ other.
Answer: Yes, subject +be. Or? No, subject +be? No.
Special question: special question+general question
Affirmative answer: yes, subject +be verb (am? /yes? /Yes).
Negative answer: no, subject +be verb (am? /yes? /are)+not .
Note: Yes? Not can be abbreviated as isn, are? Not can be abbreviated as are not, but am? Nothing can't be abbreviated in modern English-am in old English and poetry? Not is abbreviated as ain't.
