Reflections after reading "She Opera"
I have read a lot of Lu Xun's works, such as "Kong Yiji", "Medicine", "Diary of a Madman", "The Storm", etc. There are many distinctive ideas in them. There are images of children, but they all appear to be "eaten" to reflect the dilapidated feudal ideology of the time. But after reading "She Opera", the children in it made people feel that they were abnormally innocent.
The children here are very free and were called "the paradise" by Lu Xun, a child who grew up in a feudal family. The children took great care of him. There are no various rules here. Even if the grandfather was beaten, no one in the village would come up with the word "offended". Compared with the dull life in the city, life in the country is always fresh and interesting.
Among these smart and lively children, the most interesting one is Double Happiness. He is smart, capable, considerate, compassionate, responsive, thoughtful, decisive, and confident. He is both organized and charismatic. He is the well-deserved king of children. The reason why Lu Xun was able to watch social operas was mainly because of Shuangxi's idea and guarantee. It’s not just the kids that are cute, but the adults here as well. For example, Father-in-law on June 1st. Although there is very little written, the outline is very accurate with only a few strokes. It describes his generosity and simplicity. The children stole his beans, but instead of scolding him, he even invited the children to eat the beans. Unexpectedly, after hearing Lu Xun's "very good", he became excited and very proud.
Lu Xun recalled the past, just to comfort his heart. Although it is twenty years later, the people are still as numb, feudal and ignorant as before, living a life of no fixed abode. So where did people lose their beautiful world? Just twenty years ago in Pingqiao Village, in Father-in-law, Shuangxi and those children.
