Reflections on Ye Jiaying's Chen Ziang of Poets in the Early Tang Dynasty

As we know, China's poems are archaic in nature, and the poet is not restricted by strict temperament when he creates, but just a natural feeling. However, on the occasion of Qi and Liang Dynasties, some people began to reflect on the characters and noticed the four tones of "ping, Shang, Qu and Ru", so the theory of "four tones and eight diseases" appeared. From then on, China's poems gradually developed in the direction of metrical, and in the early Tang Dynasty, a very complete metrical poem was formed.

? In addition to five-character poems, a new form was formed in the early Tang Dynasty, namely seven-character ancient poems. Among the four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty, Lu's Ancient Meaning of Chang 'an is the most famous. This poem rhymes many times, and its duality is also very particular. However, it is precisely because in the early stage of temperament formation, poets are not skilled in its application and are easily bound by duality and flatness, so they pay attention to the form of poetry.

? Having said that, we have to mention Chen Ziang. At the beginning, under the condition that the development of modern poetry in the Tang Dynasty laid too much emphasis on form, Chen Ziang put forward the idea of restoring ancient ways. He advocated imitating the author of Jian 'an and the official history era. Generally speaking, Jing 'an's poetic style pays attention to current events and has sustenance. Ruan Ji and Ji Kang were the most famous poets in the official era. Although their poems are ostensibly written about the scenery in front of them, they have profound sustenance in their hearts, which has a great influence on Chen Ziang.

? We say that Chen Ziang advocates retro, but it can't be completely retro at any time, because the wheel of history will never turn back, so where did he go? Nature is his own feelings, that is to say, when writing poetry, you should write what really makes you feel, instead of focusing on equality and even duality. Since Chen Ziang advocates retro, Li Taibai also advocates retro. It is precisely because of the exploration and development of poetic forms by the regular poets in the early Tang Dynasty that these great poets, Du Fu in the prosperous Tang Dynasty and Li Shangyin in the late Tang Dynasty, appeared.

? Next, let's meet Chen Ziang. Chen Ziang, whose real name is Apollo, was born in Zizhou, Hongren (Ye Sisheng). When Wu Hou first came to power, he was paid attention to by Wu Hou in Ode to the Big Week and was sealed as an official. Chen Ziang has a good family in a remote place far from the capital. I was spoiled by my parents when I was a child, just like a dude. When I grew up, I happened to sit in a township school in Sichuan for a while and was moved by other people's words in ancient poetry books. From then on, I studied hard and got rid of the style of laughing and playing. His talent was also appreciated by Wu Zetian, and he was asked to do the right thing, that is, a supervision office responsible for admonishing the shortcomings and omissions of national politics.

? Let's talk about his literary creation. Mr. Jia Ling described it as "trying to correct the shortcomings of glitz at that time. Although I could not completely delete my wife, most of them were simple and open-minded." He tried to correct the flashy style of writing at that time, and his articles borrowed more ancient Chinese. In terms of poetry creation, he praised elegance, bi xing, Han Wei style and 38 poems of "feeling", which represented his achievements in practice. Chen Ziang has his own opinions and can put them into practice. These poems are all written in ancient style, and they all have a sense of contrast and sustenance. He either regrets his life experience, or satirizes the failure of state affairs, and writes generously and indignantly, which contains profound emotional strength. Let's enjoy Chen Ziang's poem "Feeling"-"Lan Ruosheng's Spring and Summer":

Lan Re was born in spring and summer and flourished in.

You are alone in the forest, and Zhu has purple stems.

It's getting late and the autumn wind is coming.

By the age of 20, China had been shaken and Fang Yi had achieved nothing.

? "Lan Ruo was born in spring and summer, and he is in He Qingqing." The "orchid" here is an orchid, and the "ruo" is Du Ruo. Both belong to vanilla, which is a fragrant and beautiful plant. The author used vanilla to represent a beautiful life, talent and ideal, which appeared as early as in Chu Ci. He said orchids and Du Ruo grow between spring and summer. Spring is the season of life germination. Lan Ruo sprouts in spring and grows leaves, but it grows very luxuriantly in summer. "Qianwei" means lush vegetation, "harmony" means beautiful words, and "green" means lush vegetation. He said, Look at those orchid valleys in Du Ruo, how lush they grow between spring and summer!

? The syntax of the sentence "Lonely and empty forest color" is quite simple and complicated. "Empty forest" refers to an empty mountain forest with both orchids and Du Ruo. How can it be empty? Since it is a forest, there will naturally be trees, plants, birds and animals, and of course it is not empty. Therefore, the so-called "nothing, no one is also called", the mountain forest where no one comes and goes is a lonely mountain forest, so it is an empty mountain forest. Swimming is a good explanation. No one has arrived in the empty forest for a long time, so it is naturally quiet here. "Moderation" is quiet, "independence" is loneliness. Then "Zhu has purple stems", "Zhu" is red, and "Zhu" originally refers to the lush and drooping flowers and leaves of plants. So far, the author is pretending that flowers are beautiful.

? In the fifth sentence, there is a turning point: "It is getting late, and the autumn wind is born." Mr. Ye Jiaying commented that the key for us to say a poem is that it can convey an emotional life, and it can also make readers be moved accordingly. What this poem really conveys is that it reached a peak when writing the fourth sentence, and then suddenly fell down-"It's getting late", which is "autumn wind is born". "Day in and night out" only means the past of a day, and "autumn wind is born" means the end of a year. "Wind rolling" is the way the wind blows. As mentioned earlier, Lan Ruo grows between spring and summer. After spring and summer, the autumn wind blows. In this way, day after day, year after year, life will soon reach twilight.

? The last two sentences: "The year has passed, how can the fragrance become?" I think these two sentences make this poem reach a saddest point. Year is a year of youth. How many beautiful flowers are there in a whole year? In the end, everything went away. What the poet wants to express is "how to compete": What have you accomplished? Growing up in an empty mountain forest, has your beauty been appreciated by others? What role have you played? No, you opened it for nothing. Thank you for nothing.

? At the end of this poem, I can clearly know what this poem wants to express. This is the unexpected sorrow of a talented man whose life value has failed in vain.
