Zhang Wei's background in Tang Dynasty

Zhang Wei (? -After 777), the word talk.an excellent, Hanoi (now Qinyang, Henan) people. In the second year of Tianbao (743), he was a scholar and once entered the Anxi shogunate. In the later period of Tianbao, he served as an official of Feng Changqing Cao shogunate, participated in military planning and made great contributions. In the autumn of the first year of Gan Yuan (758), the merchants went to Xiakou and met Li Bai, a poet who was about to exile Yelang, and went boating in Nanhu, Mianzhou City. Li Bai specially wrote the poem "Langguan Lake in the south of Mianzhou" as a souvenir. During the year of Dali 23, he served as the secretariat of Tanzhou and made friends with Yuan, the secretariat of Daozhou at that time. He has served as assistant minister of Tanzhou Ritual Department for three consecutive years. Huai Su, a famous calligrapher in Tang Dynasty, wrote autobiographical posts in the twelfth year of Dali, and also mentioned that Zhang Wei wrote poems to comment on his cursive script. There is a poem called Tianbao and Dali, which is good at both ancient and modern styles. He died in Dali. Yin Kun once included his poems in He Yueling Photo Album, and Yuan Xinwen called his poems "rigorous in style and profound in language".

Zhang Wei's poem "Complete Tang Poems" is 1 volume, with 40 poems, but there are works by others. Mostly five-character and seven-character poems. Zhang Wei, in the Tang Dynasty, where poets came forth in large numbers, was not a dazzling figure in history. However, there are not many works handed down from generation to generation, and there are also many excellent works. For example, the masterpiece Answer to the Old Man in Zhou Bei said: "The old man with negative salary goes to Zhou Bei and worries about his life in Wangbei Township. He said that the old man had three sons, all of whom had died in Huangsha. Now that the child has just grown up, he will confess next year. Knowing this, we will fall apart and cannot live and die together. Borrow a farm house from Wu next door, and then go to the countryside alone. It's even harder to have more children. Recently, it was said that the emperor respects Chen Wu and Qiang Bing wants to be quiet. " Ensuring border security is a long-term policy, so there is no need to expel China people. This ancient poem, consisting of seven poems, describes the displacement of the "old people with negative wages" and the ruin of rural economy in Zhou Bei, and vividly reflects the realistic contradictions and social crisis in Tianbao period.

Zhang said that many poems are often as simple as words without deliberate management, but their feelings are sincere and natural. In "With the King, there is a bosom in Hunan", the poet wrote: "Dongting is autumn in August, and Xiaoxiang water flows north. The dream of returning to Wan Li is even more worrying. You don't need to open a book, you should go to a restaurant. Old friend Jing, when will you travel together again? "

The language of the whole poem is full of wonders, straightforward and simple, but it contains rich emotional connotations. Judging from the whole poem, there is no flowery rhetoric or excessive exaggeration, but it is wonderful, fluid and meaningful. Zhang Wei's poems are successful in this respect.

Some of Zhang Wei's poems also reveal the declining trend of the world after the middle Tang Dynasty. For example, in the title of "Wall Lord": "There is a need for gold to make friends, not much gold is not deep. Even if you make a promise temporarily, there will always be a long journey. " In this poem, the poet described in simple and alert language that the "friendship pagoda" of the society at that time was completely built on the basis of gold. Without the cornerstone of gold, it will collapse immediately. Gold has become a weight to measure world friendship: there is not much gold here and friendship there is not deep. The two are directly proportional. The first two sentences of the poem reveal the "pollution" of money to the human world. The last two sentences of the poem: "Even if you make a promise for a while, there will always be a long journey." The smiling face and indifferent heart of the owner of Chang 'an Wall are vividly outlined. The word "carefree" describes "the heart of the Tao", which seems dull, but it is very vivid, depicting the world and has strong penetrating power.
