Su Shi
River of no return, a romantic figure through the ages. To the west of the old base [3] is the humanistic Red Cliff [4] in Zhou Lang of the Three Kingdoms. Rocks go through the air, waves lap the shore, and thousands of piles of snow are rolled up [5]. The majestic rivers and mountains are picturesque, and many heroes emerge at once. [1] from Dongpo Yuefu. Nian Nujiao, epigraph name. Su Shi (1037-11kloc-0/), a native of Meishan (now Meishan, Sichuan) in the Northern Song Dynasty, was a writer. Prose, poetry and calligraphy all have their own styles. This poem was written by Su Shi when he was demoted to official position and went to Chibi as an assistant during the youth league training in Huangzhou (now Huanggang, Hubei). It expresses the poet's praise for ancient heroes and his unfulfilled ambition.
