Jia Dao Shi Yu

Han Yu's poem "To Jia Dao" is as follows:

Original: Meng Jiao died and was buried in Beimangshan Mountain, and the situation was temporarily idle from then on. I'm afraid the article will be cut, so I live in Jia Dao.

Poetic: Meng Jiao, a great poet, died and was buried in Mangshan Mountain in Luoyang. Since then, Meng Jiao's works have never caused a sensation in the poetry circle, and he was immediately at leisure. God is afraid that he will cut off his excellent poems and give birth to Jia Dao.

Meng Jiao is a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, and his masterpieces include Ode to a Wanderer and After Graduation from University. Meng Jiao made two attempts to become a scholar. He was a scholar at the age of forty-six, and once served as a county commandant in Liyang. Unable to realize his ambition, he wandered among fairies and wrote poems. In the ninth year of Yuanhe, Zheng Yuqing recruited him to join the army again in Xingyuan House, but he went with his wife to Kanxiang County, died of sudden illness and was buried in Luoyang East.

He is known as a great writer and a hundred generations of literati. Later generations, together with Liu Zongyuan, Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi, are called the four great writers of the ages.
