What does it mean to be a precious container?

This passage tells us that the value of vessels lies not in texture, but in sacredness. Even gold and silver, which are valuable in themselves, cannot be valuable vessels if they are not holy. Even humble wood and pottery can be valuable vessels if they are holy.
