Ba Jin!
"Bird's Paradise" is a tourist scenic spot famous both at home and abroad in Guangdong Province. On the sandbar in the middle of the Tianmen River in Xinhui County, 100 kilometers away from Guangzhou City, there is a strange large banyan tree with a history of more than 500 years. The branches of this tree hang down to the ground and dig into the soil to become a new trunk. In this way, as time went by, this big banyan tree turned into a forest alone. Thousands of white cranes, ma cranes, gray cranes and other birds live in the forest. White cranes and ma cranes go out in the morning and return home late, while gray cranes rest at night and during the day. They alternate with each other in an orderly manner, forming a spectacular "bird's world".
In 1924, the famous writer Ba Jin came here to visit and was inspired to write a popular prose - "Bird's Paradise". Today, the "Bird's Paradise" has become a famous scenic spot, attracting thousands of tourists.
Bird's Paradise, formerly known as "Bird Dun", is located on the Tianma River in Tianma Village, seven kilometers south of Xinhui City, Guangdong. On the sandbank of Tianma River, there is an ancient banyan tree that is more than 500 years old. The whirling banyan leaves cover more than 20 acres of the river. The tree is about 15 meters high. The branches of the banyan tree have roots as warm as beards. When they touch the ground, they become woody. Transform, sprout branches and leaves, and grow into new branches. New aerial roots grew on the new stems, growing endlessly, turning into a tangled banyan bush with intricate roots and branches. There are more than ten kinds of birds perched on this bush, the most eye-catching ones are the white crane and the gray crane (the night heron, commonly known as the traveling bird). The white cranes go out in the morning and return in the evening, and the gray cranes go out in the evening and return in the morning. From morning to night, the cranes come out and return, circling and flying, covering the sky, and chirping, which is a wonder.
