Moon poem in the window

moon

Pushkin

Lonely and sad moon,

Why did you emerge from the clouds,

Through the window to my pillow.

Cast a light?

Your sad face

A fantasy that makes me sad,

And the useless sadness of love;

A reason for pride, an uncontrollable desire

It's stirring in my heart again.

Fly away, memories of the past,

Without love, please rest in peace!

There will never be a moonlit night like that again,

When you are fascinated by light

Through the dark forest

Pour the quiet light,

Slightly, vaguely

Reflect the beauty of my lover.

The pleasure of lust, what are you?

How can it be better than true love and happiness?

The inner beauty of happiness?

How can the joy that has passed away run back?

Time, the second minute.

Why did it disappear so quickly?

When the morning glow rises suddenly

Why does the bright night disappear?

Moon, why did you run away?

Sink into the clear blue sky?

Why does the morning light shine in the sky?

Why should I leave my lover?
