After the founding of the Tang Dynasty, for a long period of time, the poetry world of the early Tang Dynasty was shrouded in the poetry style of Qi and Liang Dynasties. Starting from the second half of the 7th century, the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty" and "Four Masters of the Early Tang Dynasty" and Chen Ziang entered the poetry world one after another. With the great changes in the basis of poets' social life, the Tang Dynasty began to have a conscious awareness of criticizing the Qi and Liang traditions in court literature. In the history of the development of Tang poetry, the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty" and Chen Ziang, both in theory and practice, Both made indelible historical contributions to the innovation of poetry in the early Tang Dynasty. However, neither the "Four Masters" nor Chen Zi'ang had the ability to completely eradicate the formalist poetry style of the Six Dynasties in the poetry world at that time in terms of their theory, practice, status and influence. The influence of the poets in the early Tang Dynasty was also very limited, and it was not enough to change the situation of the poetry world at that time. The excellent achievements of poetry innovation in the early Tang Dynasty inherited by the poets of the prosperous Tang Dynasty did not come directly from the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty" and Chen Zi'ang, but the poetry of the nearly 30 years between the early and prosperous Tang Dynasty History is such a gradual process of connecting the past and the next.
