Taking Children to the Road of Poetic Life —— Thoughts on Listening to the Lecture by Wang Songzhou, a Distinguished Expert.

Today, I listened to a lecture by Wang Songzhou, a special teacher, on the teaching methods of ancient poetry. He told us that the teaching of China's ancient poems is basically to teach China culture, and to grasp the poetic nature, intention and culture contained in China's ancient poems.

Yan Yu in Song Dynasty said: Poetry has different materials and has nothing to do with books; Poetry has other interests and has nothing to do with reason. What do you mean? That is to say, we should rely on the thinking in images in poetry creation to interpret the emotions to be expressed in poetry. Let children know the poet's inner feelings through repeated reading. For example, the images in the ancient poem "Night Sleeping by the Maple Bridge" are "Jiang Feng" and "Fishing Fire", and the title of this poem is "Sorrow". We should understand the author's "troubles" through the imagination of "Jiang Feng".

What is an image? Yu Guangzhong said in On Images that the internal meaning appealed to the external image. The teaching of ancient poetry should fly the wings of children's imagination and let them be there. For example, the images contained in Sauvignon Blanc are the author's "body" and "heart". On the journey, the author's heart is in his hometown. By restoring the beauty of the image of "hometown", students can realize the author's yearning for hometown. By restoring the image, students can understand the emotion behind the image.

The teaching of ancient poetry is to inherit the traditional culture of China, and we should focus on "culture" instead of simply imparting knowledge. Culture is the unity of spiritual values and lifestyles, and it is the collective personality created by teachers' accumulation and guidance. When teaching Wang Mian's Mo Mei, Mr. Wang Songzhou grasped the difference between Qing Qi and Qing Xiang, and made students realize that Mo Mei is Wang Mian's eulogy of purity, elegance and integrity. By reading Wang Mian's other poems, children can better understand the meaning of poetry.

Through listening carefully, I feel that we should teach ancient poetry well, collect background information of poetry, understand the author's biography, read through the title of poetry and its culture, penetrate into the heart of poetry through appearances, and inherit China's profound ancient poetry culture.
