Silent Night Thinking is a poem describing the homesickness of a wanderer.
This poem is unremarkable. But it is good at improvisation, flowing, natural, plain and meaningful.
"The foot of my bed is shining so brightly. Is it frosty already?" These two sentences describe what the poet saw and felt when he woke up from a nap. The bright moonlight shone in front of the bed through the window, which made people think it was silver frost at a glance.
At first glance, the "moonlight" here and the "doubt" in my heart are very similar to the rhyme of "The moon rises out of the mountain and birds sing in the spring stream" in Wang Wei's "Bird Tixi", which shows that the wanderer is disturbed by homesickness and can't sleep all night. The word "doubt is" vividly describes the poet's trance-like feeling and expression when he woke up from his sleep and suddenly saw the moonlight in front of his bed. The word "doubt" also has the effect of affecting the whole body-it is because of "doubt" that the poet raised his head and lowered his head.
"Looking up, I found that it was moonlight, and then sinking, I suddenly remembered home." The poet looked up and lowered his head, and the feeling of homesickness came to mind. The moon in the sky is bright as day. Facing the "frost moon", the poet's thoughts of missing his hometown surged.
Here, the meaning of "hometown" is broad and instructive. Poets may miss the Bashan and Shushui rivers in their hometown, the Emei Mountain and the Moon, the piano platform in Sima Xiangru, the fencing in Ren Xia as a child, and their relatives and friends in their hometown? ..
