Comments on poetry were written in the second year of Tang Suzong's visit to Germany (757). In the 14th year of Tianbao of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (755), the Anshi Rebellion broke out. In the 15th year of Tianbao, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty took refuge in Shu and the Prince ascended the throne in Lingwu. The following year, Hengli welcomed Xuanzong back to Beijing and drove to Jianmen. Xuanzong wrote this poem.
