Appreciation of Poetry: Fairy's Answer to Shepherd

Brief introduction of the author

Walter Rowley (1554- 16 18)

A court poet in Elizabethan England. Walter. Reilly was born in Devon. I studied at Oxford University, participated in the French religious war, then studied law in London, and gradually made friends with the court and intellectuals. Rowley wrote many poems in his life, most of which were circulated in the form of manuscripts. Most of his poems are lyric short poems, which are characterized by his reflection on the living environment of human beings in the Petrarch-style love theme, and his feelings about the impermanence of life and the short time, often with sadness and depression.

The fallen world and love are young.

Every shepherd has truth in his tongue.

These beautiful happiness will move me.

Live with you and be your lover.

If the world and love are always young,

If every word of the shepherd comes true,

These wonderful pleasures can move me,

Live with you and be your lover.

Time drives the sheep from the fields to the sheepfold.

When rivers rage and rocks get cold,

Philomel Bismuth is dumb;

The care of the rest of the plains.

Time drives the sheep from the field to the sheepfold,

When rivers get angry and rocks get cold,

The nightingale became silent at this moment,

The rest of the birds and animals are also worried about the future.

Flowers do fade.

And barren fields

Calculation of output in willful winter:

fine-sounding words

A cold heart

It's fancy's spring

But the sad fall.

Flowers will wither and wither, greasy green fields

Will succumb to the ravages of winter;

Sweet words, cold hearts,

This is a beautiful spring and a sad autumn.

Your shoes

Your rose bed

Your hat

Your skirt

Your bouquet

Break quickly

Withered quickly.

Fully mature

Reasonable decay.

Your robe, your shoes and your rose wedding,

Your corolla, long skirt and bouquet are fragrant,

Soon wither, wear and forget,

They grow up in wishful thinking and die out in ideals.

Your straw and ivy buds

Your coral hook and amber nail

All this is impossible for me to move.

Be your lover.

A belt made of grass and ivy,

Decorated with coral buttons and amber buttons,

None of this touched my heart at all,

Live with you and be your lover.

But if youth can last, will love breed?

No date, no age, no need

Then my heart will move with these happiness.

Live with you and be your lover.

But if youth is not old and love is eternal,

If there is endless happiness and endless years,

These pleasures can touch my heart,

Live with you and be your lover.
