The beggar left a poem of despair.

Our life will never be smooth sailing, and we will always encounter difficulties and be in adversity. But whether we are in jail or mired in a quagmire, we must keep our original heart, which is our primary goal to accomplish everything. The so-called initial heart is nothing more than keeping the attitude you want, sticking to your principles and doing what you think is right.

However, it is not an easy task to keep the initial heart. After all, there are too many temptations from the outside world, and when you are in adversity, you will erase your nature and forget what you have been insisting on. It is precisely because of this that we admire those people who have always maintained their original heart and nature, whether their persistence or their attitude. In any case, people are already in a huge whirlpool of temptation, and it is bound to take great efforts not to be squeezed in.

But for those who keep their original intention, it seems that the outside world has always recognized literati, and it seems that no one else will do so except them. However, no one expected that in a very ordinary place in the Qing Dynasty, there would be a beggar who always insisted on the initial intention maintained by a few people. The beggar lived in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Like most ordinary beggars, he lives a begging life and still has no food to eat.

And this beggar also has something extraordinary. His extraordinary lies in persistence, greatness and shocking and touching literary talent. Because the beggar wrote a poem that was told through the ages before freezing to death, even the literati were ashamed to read it. This beggar in Jiaqing period was begging in Tongzhou. Maybe he was originally from Tongzhou, or maybe he begged all the way from other places, which is unknown. After all, at that time, the so-called prosperity of the Qing dynasty only appeared in the capital, and the foot of the son of heaven was naturally full of stability and harmony.

However, thousands of miles away, the people of Emperor Jiaqing lived on the streets and could only live by begging. This beggar is one of them. Later, because the weather was too cold that year, after the heavy snow, the beggar who had no food and clothing could not survive that winter and died in the street. After a long time, the beggar's frozen body was found. Just as they were about to take the beggar away for burial, they found a poem in his clothes, presumably written by the beggar.

This poem is not only the last poem of the beggar before his death, but also the expression of the beggar's inner thoughts. Poetry and songs have always been used by the author to express his feelings, and so is this poem of despair. Beggars have perfectly outlined their situation and inner state with a few short seven-character poems.

In this poem, we see the poverty and poverty of the beggar, but obviously, he was not a beggar at first, but only became a beggar because of a series of things. Nevertheless, the thought that still exists in this beggar's heart is the thought before he became a beggar, because he is unwilling to accept charity from outside, which may also imply that he may have been in officialdom before, but it was only because of depression that he became like this later. In addition, the beggar's poems also talked about the social phenomenon at that time. After all, when beggars are plagued by disasters and homeless people everywhere, it can best reflect the inaction of the rulers and the disorder of society.

Perhaps it was because it was a "desperate poem" and the beggar himself was dying, so he brought it out without scruple, which surprised and envied the officials who saw his poem at that time. However, despite being demoted as a beggar, his poems can still reflect the boldness and poetry of the literati, because when autumn comes, beggars give autumn scenery a feeling. Whether it's autumn scenery or a social phenomenon, it can't be separated from the reality in the end, that is, beggars completely fell on the street in the cold winter of that year.

However, the literati spirit embodied in the poem, as well as their attitude of keeping their original heart and not being moved by external charity and suppression, have completely lost the voice of people who saw this poem. Maybe they didn't expect to see such wonderful content in a beggar's poem, or maybe it was because no one dared to say these words. Although this poem can be told through the ages, the people who wrote it will never meet again.
