The Central Plains lost peace, and Hu Chen went to the two capitals to guard the fire.
The veteran Huzhi is thousands of miles away, but he comes here to listen to the sound of the river in the cold weather!
①Longxing Temple: in Zhongzhou of Tang Dynasty (now Zhongxian County, Sichuan). Mr. Shaoling: Du Fu. Du Fu once lived in Shaoling, southwest of Chang'an, and called himself Shaoling Ye Lao. In May of the first year of Emperor Yongtai of the Tang Dynasty (765), Du Fu left Chengdu, traveled eastward along the Yangtze River, and arrived in Zhongzhou in autumn. He stayed at Longxing Temple for two months. In the first month of the fifth year of Chunxi (1178), Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty summoned Lu You to return eastward. This poem was written when he passed by Chungju in April.
②Zhongyuan: A general name for the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River Basin. Cao Cao: in a hurry. Taiping: Originally meant to be the inheritance of the past peaceful era, it later came to refer to peace.
③Garrison: Castle on the border. garrison fire, that is, beacon fire, an alarm device on the ancient border defense. Hu dust: The dust raised when Hu soldiers invaded. Two capitals: Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, and Luoyang, the capital of the Tokyo. In the fourteenth year of Emperor Xuanzong's Tianbao reign (757), An Lushan rebelled in Fanyang (now Daxiao, Beijing) and captured Luoyang, and the following year he captured Chang'an. An Lushan was originally a mixed Hu people, and the troops he led were Khitan, Xi, Turk and other ethnic groups, so he was called Hu Chen in rebellion.
④ Huzhi (sound Bi): Follow the emperor’s chariot. Zhi originally refers to the prohibition of pedestrians and the clearing of roads when the emperor travels. Lao Chen: refers to Du Fu. After Anlu Mountain fell to Chang'an, Xuanzong fled to Sichuan, and the prince ascended the throne in Gansu, known as Suzong in history. In the second year of Zhide (757), Du Fu traveled from Chang'an to Fengxiang to visit Suzong, and then returned to Chang'an with him. Later, because of the rescue of Fang Guan, he abandoned his official position and went west, wandering around. He was fifty-four years old when he was in Zhongzhou, and Lu You was also fifty-four when he wrote this poem. It is a coincidence. Body Wanli: refers to Du Fu's body in Zhongzhou, which is far away from Chang'an. It is not a real number.
⑤ Lu You’s original note: “Based on Shaoling’s poems, it is said that he lived in this state leisurely in autumn and winter. The sound of the river heard from the temple gate was very strong.” and military activities, but the great cause of restoration has not been achieved, and finally Following the imperial edict, he returned eastward. He passed by the remains of Du Fu, whom he admired all his life and had been a role model for his whole life, and he couldn't help but feel deeply when he thought about his similar fate to theirs. This is one of the poems of this type that he wrote during this trip. This poem is from the perspective of space, which is slightly different from another poem "Chu City" written at the same time, which is from the perspective of time.
