What's the relationship between riddles and poems?

Poetry is a literary genre with rich imagination, rich feelings, highly refined and implicit language and far-reaching artistic conception. On the surface, poetry and riddles are two different things. In fact, there are many similarities between the two, often there is a poem in a mystery and a poem in a mystery. Some are good mysteries, meaningful language, sonorous rhyme, neat antithesis and full of poetry. Some poems are implicit, vague and unobtrusive from beginning to end. Poetry is like a riddle, and poetry becomes a mystery. For example, Du Mu has a poem "Egret":

Keywords xueyi, xuefa, yukou,

Group fishing in the shadow of streams;

Surprised to fly into the distance and reflect the blue mountains,

A pear flower falls evening breeze.

How vividly this poem is described! Some people say it's a crane riddle.

China's riddles often adopt poetic forms and expressions, which are catchy and poetic to read. For example, the five-character quatrain of "Little Zhuge Liang, sitting alone in the army account, laying an eight-array map and capturing the flying general alive" is both poetic and mysterious. Some riddles guess a poem. So people who guess often have knowledge of literature and poetry. The mystery of some riddles is a poem. Therefore, poetry and mystery are closely linked.

In order to show their intelligence, some ancient literati often guess riddles without telling the truth, or solve them with riddles, or hide the answers in a poem, which is very interesting. For example, in Su Xiaomei's Three Difficult Grooms, Su Xiaomei gave Qin Shaoyou a riddle: "Copper and iron throw red leaves, and ants go to the powder wall. Yin and Yang are ambiguous, and heaven and earth are my heart. " Qin Shaoyou guessed that the answer was "a Taoist", but he refused to say it directly. Instead, I made a poem and hid the answer in it: "Why does chemical industry promote spring? The fate of flowering in the garden. Tao is the original owner of Xiaochi, and everyone is afraid to go to the flower bed. " . Taking out the first word of each sentence is the answer, not bad.

Only in our country with a long history and splendid traditional culture can there be such a wonderful language art.
