Introduction to Xuanwu Lake

Xuanwu Lake, also known as Sangbo Lake, Moling Lake, Jiangling Lake, Lianhu Lake, Houhu Lake and Kunming Lake, etc. Xuanwu Lake has a diamond-shaped shore and a wide lake surface. There are many fish in the lake, lotus flowers are widely planted, and there are many willows on the island embankment. There are five lakes: Zhou Huan, Yingzhou, Lingzhou, Liangzhou and Cuizhou. Xuanwu Lake is a landscape garden and a cultural resort. Many scholars and poets left their poems here, such as Guo Pu, Xie _, Xiao Tong, Li Yu, Wei Zhuang, Du Mu, Liu Yuxi, Li Shangyin, Li Bai, Ouyang Xiu and Cao Xueqin. Shang Yin wrote "Southern Dynasties", "Jade leaks Xuanwu Lake, and the cock crows and embroiders it. Who said that Qiong Shu's appearance in court is not as good as Jinlian's "Step by Step", which describes the life scene of Xuanwu Imperial Garden.

Xuanwu Lake is an excellent place for people to enjoy the scenery, and a large number of "old fishermen" fish here all the year round. These fishing enthusiasts summed up their fishing experience in Xuanwu Lake, which is very different from other places.

History

Xuanwu Lake was originally named Sangbo, and was named after Xuanwu in the Southern Dynasties. Xuanwu is one of the four gods in China's fairy tales. Its concrete image is the tortoise-snake complex, which represents the four directions of southeast and northwest together with Qinglong, White Tiger and Suzaku. Xuanwu is the "God of the North" and Xuanwu Lake is located in the north of Yanque Lake, so it is also called "North Lake" and is located in the north of Jinling.

when Qin was located in moling county, it was called moling lake. At the end of the Han Dynasty, Ling surnamed Jiang was buried by the lake, and Sun Quan, the prince of Wu, diverted water into Houhu and the surrounding swamp, and renamed it "Jiangling Lake". During the Six Dynasties, sailors practiced and reviewed here, so it was called "practicing the lake". Behind Jiming Mountain, it used to be the back garden of the imperial court, so it was once called the "back lake". It was also called Kunming Lake in the Six Dynasties. In the third year of filial piety in the Southern Song Dynasty, Hunan set up a music garden, Hubei built a West Garden, and the West Garden in the Liang Dynasty was renamed Shanglin Garden. Song Wendi dredged lakes to form Penglai, Abbot and Yingzhou, also known as "Sansheng Mountain", or Liangzhou, Zhou Huan and Yingzhou today. In the first year of the Republic of China, it was converted into a park. Because there are five continents in the lake, symbolizing the five continents of the world, it is named Wuzhou Park, now known as Xuanwu Lake Park.

Now it's free. Xuanwu Lake was destroyed twice, once during the reign of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty and once during the reign of Song Shenzong. After Emperor Wendi destroyed Chen Nan, he ordered the leveling of Nanjing, and Xuanwu Lake disappeared for more than 2 years. This is the first time. In Song Shenzong, Wang Anshi was transferred to Jiangning Prefecture, and put forward the idea of "returning waste lakes to fields". It often rains in Nanjing, which improved after dredging in Yuan Dynasty. In the early years of the Republic of China, Xuanwu Lake was renamed Wuzhou Park. Shortly after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was rectified and changed back to Xuanwu Lake again. In addition to changing its name frequently, Xuanwu Lake is big and small, and you can experience it occasionally. Such a changeable and ill-fated lake is rare.
