The poetry at this time was also very different from that of the Jian'an poetry circle. There were fewer works reflecting the hardships of the people's livelihood and expressing heroic aspirations, while there were more poems expressing personal worries and indignation. Due to the influence of Zhengshi Xuanfeng, poetry gradually merged with Xuanli, and the poetic style changed from the generous and tragic style of Jian'an to the everlasting purpose and profound sustenance of the poems. Therefore, Zhengshi poetry also reflects its unique artistic style. Yan Yu's "Canglang Poetry Talk·Poetry Style" said: "In terms of time, there is... Zhengshi style." Note: "Wei year names, Ji, Ruan Poems of the Lords." This is the so-called "Zhengshi Zhiyin." "Ci Yuan" explains: "During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, metaphysics was popular in pure talk, and later generations called the popular speech at that time Zheng Shi Zhi Yin." It can be seen that "Ci Yuan" believes that "Zheng Shi Zhi Yin" is a concept in the history of philosophy. Later generations will refer to the Zhengshi literature represented by Ruan Ji and Ji Kang in the Zhengshi period as "the sound of Zhengshi".
