Like a hound, my friend.
You are always longing for me.
The weather is fine today;
Disappeared in the distant jungle.
I didn't invite you to tea yesterday,
Please don't be angry today;
Tomorrow, if the weather is fine,
Let's have a fight.
This is my mount, the black stallion;
You ride it across the plain, as light as a bird's shadow;
You ride it over mountains and mountains, shining like mars,
You ride it across the river as dexterous as a fish;
You ride it into the sky and flow like white clouds.
Put a golden saddle on it, just like a king going out to war.
This is a great horse-
I dedicate it to you out of joy and respect.
Tibetan poetry and prose
Potala, the paradise of Buddha and the palace of Guanyin.
From south to north, from west to east
Potala Palace stands on this earth.
On the golden dome of Potala Palace, the golden sun Ran Ran rises.
That's not a golden sun, it's a Lama's face.
On the hillside of Potala Palace, there is a golden suona.
It's not the golden suona, it's the Sanskrit sound of the Lama.
At the foot of Potala Palace, colorful flags fluttered.
That's not a colorful Hada, but a Lama's cassock.
Dream back to Tibet
Maybe earlier, I have been to Tibet, and Tibet has always been a place for me.
Perhaps it was when I first yearned for a place that I went to Tibet, which has always been able to settle my mind.
Tibet, my holy land. Lhasa, my Potala who can crawl forward and worship devoutly.
I don't know when I began to have a deeper and heavier load and a stronger and denser attachment to Tibet. In my impression, Tibet belongs to the distance, to the vast Wan Li, and to a paradise for hikers. I spent a long time looking for bits and pieces about Tibet and Lhasa, and even imagined kneeling down to my life and afterlife next to the temple that showed the gods and the snow lotus that stood upright in the wind on the plateau.
So many times, in many scenes, I always feel that Tibet is not far away from me. Sometimes I can even reach out my palm and touch a different kind of breath, which comes from the plateau, from the empty space above the plateau, from the strong wind blowing flags and the strong sunshine raising people on the plateau. So, I began to go to Tibet, Lhasa and the paradise that one must go to in this life.
I clearly know that, in fact, until now, I am still lying in my own paradise, imagining various things about Tibet and Lhasa. Have I been to Tibet? Have I been to Lhasa? In what context will my trip to Tibet or my journey begin?
I know that I will choose to crawl all the way, let my spine bear all my regrets, and let my hands hold on to the last hope. I will kiss the soil all the way, listen to the pilgrimage songs, enjoy the pure silence of the grassland and touch the glory of the temple. In fact, going to Tibet and Lhasa means going there, or to the entrance of WTO. Begins with Dharma, excels in wisdom, proves in the heart, excels in enlightenment, and comes from Put Lolerk.
When I know these truths, I won't change my attitude. During the day, the sun will guide me, and at night, the butter lamp will illuminate me. Wooden sacred water, yaks running on the grassland, blue sky that can be kissed when looking up, and ethereal spirit that can be grasped when reaching out. These will surely spread under my unchanging attitude, proving that I have been to Tibet, Lhasa and all the gods who led me forward.
Maybe I have been to Tibet a long time ago, or maybe I have been to Tibet when I first yearned for a place. Go back to Tibet and start over from here. Back in Lhasa, the road is endless.
