When I was a child, that is, in the late period of the Cultural Revolution, the smoke of the futility of reading was still floating over some campuses. I was so tired of school life that I began to play truant all day. In order to pass the time, I began to look for books everywhere, and when I couldn't find them, I began to copy them. I remember that the book I copied at that time was "Return" written by writer JASON ZHANG, and now this book is called "The Second Handshake". By chance, I found some Chinese and foreign literature books in the home of an old cadre who participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. If I get a treasure, I will start reading them locally. My whole thought was attracted by the touching story in the book, and I shared joys and sorrows with the characters in the book. In this way, I read many literary books in this veteran cadre's home, such as How Steel was Tempered, Red Rock, Linhai Xueyuan and so on. I also copied the better words and phrases in the book as my motto, and these books played a positive role in promoting my future study and work. After graduating from high school, because I didn't have a job, I took my camera out to take pictures in the three northeastern provinces. Because I have no business experience, I was so hungry that I couldn't afford to stay in a hotel in those days. I squatted at the station, stayed at the dock, and opened the book I brought on this long and difficult night. All the homesickness and unbearable hunger in my stomach have vanished, and this spiritual food has also brought me material satisfaction. In order to read more and better books, I also made a lot of book friends through various channels and mailed books I had never read to each other, which not only saved a lot of books, but also learned a lot of knowledge. Besides, I also look for all opportunities to learn and make use of all available conditions. In order to study better and read more books, I also applied for publishing and correspondence study at that time, and the study materials were sent to me on time, which enabled me to study systematically and master certain professional knowledge. Thanks to his unremitting efforts, 1984 became a people's policeman through recruitment.
Looking back on my work and reading experience, every gain and leap I have has a direct relationship with the help of books. I also have a wide range of reading interests, like literature, foreign languages, calligraphy and books related to my business knowledge. It is precisely because of reading these books in many ways and in different disciplines that my work skills are high and my spare time is rich and colorful. Books make me mature from ignorance. I love books as much as my own life. May books accompany me forever.
