Beautiful poems after the rain

An ancient poem describing after the rain: "After the new rain in the empty mountains, the weather is late and autumn comes." From "Mountain Dwelling in Autumn" by Wang Wei of the Tang Dynasty

Original text:

"Dwelling in the Mountains in the Dark Autumn"

Tang Dynasty: Wang Wei

After the new rain in the empty mountains, autumn comes late. The bright moon shines among the pines, and the clear spring flows over the rocks.

The bamboo noise returns to Huan Nu, and the lotus moves off the fishing boat. The spring fragrance rests at will, and the king and grandson can stay.

Translation:

It has just rained on the mountain, and the cool weather at night brings the feeling of autumn. The pine forest was bathed in the bright moonlight, and clear spring water flowed over the stones on the river bed. The women who were washing clothes returned, there was laughter and chatter in the bamboo forest, and the fishing boats moved down the river, stirring up the lotus leaves. If the fragrance of spring cannot be retained, let it go, but I want to live in this beautiful mountain.

Poem appreciation:

This poem describes the fresh, quiet, tranquil and beautiful dusk beauty of autumn in the mountains.

The first couplet "After the new rain in the empty mountains, the weather comes late in autumn" describes the scenery of the mountain residence in the dusk of autumn, when the mountain rain begins, it is quiet, leisurely, fresh and pleasant. It describes the freshness of the air after a rain in the mountains, and also shows the author's hope for the imperial court, hoping to recruit and employ some talented people to replace those selfish and corrupt officials and restore the majesty of the celestial dynasty.

The couplet "The bright moon shines among the pines, and the clear spring flows over the rocks" describes the natural beauty of the bright moon in the sky, green pines like a canopy, and clear mountain springs flowing on the rocks. This couplet expresses the author's infinite yearning for a better life, hoping to live a peaceful and elegant life.

These two sentences can be called a masterpiece. One "ming" shows the brightness of the moon, and the other "qing" shows the clearness of the spring water. The author of these two sentences used it to express his purity and self-love, as pure as water.

The neck couplet "The noise of the bamboo belongs to Huan Nu, and the lotus moves down the fishing boat" writes that when I heard the noise in the bamboo forest, I saw the lotus leaves spread out, I found Huan Nu washing clothes, and the fishermen lowered their nets to catch fish. This couplet is also One meaning is that some uninvited guests broke the silence of the mountains and forests and the beautiful life that the poet yearned for.

The poet first wrote "bamboo noise" and "lotus movement" because Huan Nu was hidden in the bamboo forest and the fishing boat was covered by lotus leaves. At first, she was not seen. When she heard the noise of the bamboo forest, she saw the lotus leaves. After looking around, I discovered Huan Nu and Lian Zhou. Writing this way is more true and poetic.
