In the early days, the Tan family developed mainly in Shandong, and then they left their homes and moved to other places due to war, natural disasters, official relocation and other reasons. In the Han Dynasty, the Tan family once distributed in Henan and Shanxi. Tan moved to Guangdong in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and moved to Jiangxi in the late Tang Dynasty.
