The role of the moon in ancient poetry
"Moon" is an eternal theme that poets in past dynasties can't finish writing and reading.
Such as the Jin Dynasty: Tao Qian's "Return to the Garden" "Get up in the morning, manage the filth, and bring the moon lotus home ..."
Tang Dynasty: Li Bai's poem on a quiet night, looking up, found it was moonlight, sank back, and suddenly remembered home. ...
Song Dynasty: Su Shi's "Water Tune Song Tou" "When will there be a bright moon? Ask heaven for wine ... "
Although they all write about the moon, the role of the moon in poetry is different. How many functions does the month have? In ancient poetry, it can be roughly divided into three types.
First, look at the time. In the Book of Songs, gentlemen are in service, so what's the point? My husband was called up by the monarch to serve, and he will be away for a long time, so I don't know when he will be reunited with him. ""in a few days and months "here
You can't use time to calculate. Similarly, in Tao Qian's Return to the Garden, there is also a saying that "the morning is prosperous, the waste is treated, and the moon brings home". "Taking the moon" means "flying over Daiyue", which means night.
Second, the moon has the function of setting off the atmosphere. In Li Yu's Hui Huan, the phrase "the moon is like a hook" describes the scenery seen when climbing stairs. The crescent moon is like a hook, and the shade of tung is locked. The scenery is vivid and sad. Du Mu's "Bo Qinhuai" "The smoke cage is full of sand in the cold moon, and the night is near Qinhuai Restaurant." The scenery that the first writer saw when he stayed at Qinhuai River overnight. That is, the cold Qinhuai River is filled with hazy water mist, and the cold moonlight covers the beach, making the scenery look sad. The poet first brings people to a specific environmental atmosphere, which gives people a strong attraction and appeal. At the same time, the description of the scenery in the twilight also reflects the author's sad mood.
Third, in addition, the moon also has the function of expressing feelings and expressing emotions. Lyricizing by the bright moon is a common technique, but what I appreciate most is Li Bai's description of the moon. The moon is heartless and can't express any feelings, but Li Bai gives it life, personifies it, and regards it as a sympathetic, understanding and friendly messenger who can convey friendship. For example, Li Bai wrote in "I heard that Wang Changling moved to Longbiao Kiln to send this letter" that "my heart is worried with the bright moon, and I will follow you to Yelangxi", so I used to express my feelings directly. Look at the bright moon hanging high in the sky and shining on the earth. You and I live in different parts of the world. We can't meet each other, but we can all see the bright moon in the sky. Then I will give this sad heart about you to the bright moon, and let it always accompany you and follow you to a distant foreign land. Li Bai, who wandered here, did not forget his friends on the way to relegation. He used the bright moon to express his sincere heart and greetings to his friends. In this poem, Li Bai's conception of the moon is novel, and his image description of the moon is also wonderful. This romantic writing embodies the fresh and elegant style of Li Bai's poems.
It should be pointed out that writing about the moon is only an expression, and expressing one's own meaning is the purpose. Li Bai's examples all illustrate this point. It is unthinkable to write about the moon for the sake of writing about it. However, this phenomenon is common in some of our students' compositions: writing about scenery for the sake of writing about scenery is divorced from the theme, which is tantamount to a poor jigsaw puzzle. We should integrate the deeper artistic conception and content through the landscape itself, so as to write its uniqueness and beauty.
