In June of the 15th year of Tianbao, after An Lushan rebels invaded Tongguan, Xuanzong entered Shu, and Du Fu came to Zhangzhou with his wife and children. In July, Su Zong ascended the throne in Lingwu. Du Fu went to the enemy alone in August, only to be captured by the rebels in Chang 'an after his fall.
