Our country is a country of poetry, and poetry is China’s splendid five-thousand-year civilization. I think poetry is like the sea, and the poems I like are ordinary fish in the sea.
My favorite poem is "Bamboo and Stone" written by Zheng Xie, a famous poet in the Qing Dynasty. It means: Holding tightly to the green mountain without relaxing at all, it turns out that the roots have penetrated deeply into the fierce stone. It has endured thousands of hardships and is still strong, regardless of the wind coming from east, west, north or south. In this poem about things, the poet implicitly expresses his noble sentiments that he cannot follow the crowd by chanting about the strong bamboos rooted in the green mountains. ah! Bamboo, this is such an ordinary thing, but it has such an unyielding spirit. He stood firm in the storm, unyielding.
When the sun rises and the rainbow hangs in the sky, bamboo will enjoy the rare warmth. Bamboo has been tempered countless times and has grown into a particularly tall and graceful figure, which is not afraid of strong winds coming from any direction. In fact, I think bamboo should be an example for us to learn from. We must learn from bamboo the character of being willing to bend rather than bend in the face of all kinds of difficulties, never giving in to any evil forces, and the proud character of being unwilling to collude with the dark society. But now our family conditions are better and we have no concept of hardship. Children are like flowers in a greenhouse. Parents are afraid that their children will fall off if they hold them in their hands or melt in their mouths.
But they don’t know that only by letting their children learn to be independent and move forward with bumps and bumps in their growth can they make friends with victory and difficulties. Whenever it rains, the scene of bamboo fighting against the violent storm will appear in my mind.
