Appreciation of Dolmatovsky's Love Poem No Unfair Woman (Russia and Soviet Union)

[Russia and Soviet Union] Dolmatovski

There are no unattractive women,

Beauty is the prelude to their life.

But people are often indifferent to beauty and don't know how to cherish it-

Strangle it mercilessly.

There is no woman who is not beautiful.

We carved wrinkles on their faces,

If men can't be trusted,

Bad temper, vulgar.

It's hard to make them happy,

It is easy to make them unhappy,

The slim woman suddenly became short—

If you are mean and insincere.

How beautiful the woman we love is,

Brilliant and dazzling, praise and praise!

We are like sculptors.

Carve them with thick and gentle hands.

(translated by Ulan Khan)

Dolmatovsky (19 15 ——) was a famous Soviet poet in 1930s, and was born into a lawyer's family. 1933 responded to the call of the Communist Youth League and participated in the construction of the Moscow subway project. Participated in the Great Patriotic War. The long poem "No News" is an excellent war theme work of Dolmatovsky, which is highly respected. In fact, he began to publish poetry collections in 1930, and his first poetry collection, Lyrics, was published in 1934. And won the 1950 Stalin Prize for Literature and Art for the poetry collection Song of Tomorrow.

The poetic novel Volunteer is one of Dolmatovsky's representative works. In the debate between the so-called "liberals" and "traditionalists" in Soviet poetry circles in the early 1960s, he was a typical "traditionalist" and made his position clear with his group poem Our Times. He is also a famous lyricist. His masterpieces include Lenin Mountain, If the Youth of the World, and so on. Since 1970s, his poems have mainly focused on international politics.

A man with indomitable spirit, facing the deep cliff, stands upright, takes the pen as the front, and swears: no-no-no-beauty-person. ...

This is the feeling after reading this poem, rough, bold and undisguised. The whole poem seems to be a statue carved with a knife and axe, strong and straight, which reminds us of the author himself.

As soon as the poet entered the poem, he wrote in an extremely straightforward style: "There are no unattractive/beautiful women-that is the prelude to their entry into life." Then the pen changed, "But people are often indifferent to beauty and don't know how to cherish it-/kill it mercilessly." The poet calls "beauty" a prelude to women's "coming into life", which shows that the author not only thinks that they are all "beautiful", but also walks into life with this "beauty". But men don't cherish it, which makes the author angry and unfair. They use words like "suffocation" and "suffocation" to express their inner feelings. At this point, the tone of the whole poem has been set, that is to say, the poet put on his own "hat" for this poem. But the poet is not in a hurry to "dress" it, but pauses for a while, accumulates feelings and waits for another outbreak.

At the beginning of the second paragraph, the author wrote in a language full of * * * *: "No woman is not beautiful" ... "to express his strong love. In this passage, the author puts the "fruit" of causality in four poems in front with inverted sentences, emphasizing that "we carved wrinkles on their faces." Thus, the word "career" came out, and the words "untrustworthy", "grumpy" and "vulgar" were used to describe the image of a man who didn't know Jane. It is they who destroy the beauty of women and their bad nature and attitude that cause the root of women's beauty.

In the third paragraph, the author uses two comparative sentences with very similar structures, namely "happiness" and "misfortune", "hardship" and "easy", which makes people ask: what is "hardship" and what is "easy"? Looking down the poem, there is another sentence: "The slim woman suddenly becomes shorter", which is "fruit". "If (men) mean, not sincere. This is "cause". Here, the words used by the author have deeper meanings. If the surliness and vulgarity in the last paragraph only refer to nature and upbringing, then "indecent" and "insincerity" are simply outrageous bad qualities. The author pointedly pointed out that this bad personality is enough to make the sense of "slim women suddenly become short" extremely distinct, and just two sentences make people understand what "hard work" means. At this time, the author has already carried out the work of "dressing up" to seven or eight points. Just as this emotion was about to be heated, the poet's painting style changed again. He enthusiastically painted a woman in a "pet". She is "gorgeous", "gorgeous" and even "great! "

From extreme anger to great praise, it can be called "another village with a bright future." "There seems to be a radiant and happy woman in front of us. She looks into our eyes lovingly. The author wrote with deep feelings: "We are like sculptors, carving with thick and gentle hands. "Care, love and gratitude are everywhere. Rough and rigid writing has turned into soft water, which is slowly injected from the end of the pen, making people emotional. The "dressing" of the whole poem has now been completed, and what is presented to us is a statue of combining rigidity with softness, a perfect statue.

The author is a typical "traditional" poet in the Soviet Union in 1960s. Sincere and enthusiastic, the protagonists in his poems used to be modern youth, workers, border guards and new people in society. With the development of society, marriage, family and other issues are gradually put on the social agenda. His poems conform to the pace of the times, full of rationality, profound implication and unforgettable enthusiasm.
