Allegro Tianjin is a traditional rap art, which was formed in 1950s. It is the result of Tianjin amateur actors' reform and development of Tianjin Qupai "Dazi": the first two allegros of "Dazi" were removed, and the accompaniment music was enriched.
When performing, the actor can recite a few words and sing a few words with the knot in his hand. The upper and lower sentences require antithesis and the final words rhyme. The whole article can be exactly the same, or it can be colorful. Free and lively, quite rhythmic. The accompaniment instruments are the big three-stringed instrument and the dulcimer.
Allegro Tianjin, which evolved from Tianjin's current tune, has flexible sentence patterns and can be used with numbers, but it requires that the upper and lower sentences are opposite, and the last word rhymes, which can be rhymed throughout or changed halfway. It creatively uses "Fu, Bi and Xing", and its style is rough, lively and humorous. Its highest state can be "as flat as a calm lake, as explosive as lightning, as crisp as pearls on a jade plate, as beautiful as wine." This allegro is completely performed in Tianjin dialect. Formally, the number singing method of "Count to Treasure" and the festival board used in "Allegro Book" are adopted. At the same time, it is unique with the tune of "number" in Tianjin's current tune and with three strings.
