In the second year of Shang Yuan (675), Wang Bo visited his father Wang Fuchuan and wrote this poem "Lotus Picking Song" when passing through Jiangnan. Although the title of "Picking Lotus Songs" is a copy of the old Yuefu title, it describes the real life in rural areas in the south of the Yangtze River. Lotus is lotus. Through the image-building and psychological depiction of women picking lotus, poetry shows their deep yearning for their husbands and infinite bitterness. The poet warmly praised the peaceful and quiet working life and deeply sympathized with the suffering of the working people in the war.
This is a seven-character narrative poem, which can be divided into three paragraphs according to the development of the plot.
"Picking lotus, green water and hibiscus clothes", the whole poem uses flashback technique, which is the end of the story. The skirt is wet when picking lotus leaves. Lotus doesn't mean lotus. Liang's Song of Picking Lotus wrote: "Lotus leaves are messy and fragrant." Isn't "green water hibiscus clothes" a moving picture with lotus face and lotus leaf fragrance? This opening is short and wonderful, with a high degree of artistic generalization.
The main narrative part of the poem is the sentence from "the autumn wind makes waves and geese fly" to "I am ashamed that the geese in Beihai are late". This big part can be divided into several small levels. First of all, "the autumn wind makes waves, the geese fly, the lower part of Guangxi is changpu, and the skirt is jade and the wrist is light." What I saw and heard caused quite a stir in the woman's chest: the good days will not last long. She missed it, and she complained, "The husband from the Great Wall hasn't come back yet"! The word "Jude" carries considerable weight, expressing the yearning and deep resentment for parting. "Picking lotus in the south of the Yangtze River is now dusk", which has both practical and metaphorical significance, meaning that time flies, just like picking lotus, it will soon reach dusk; Life is too short to be late. Here, through the description of the lovesickness suffering of women picking lotus, the appearance of a peaceful and quiet life is revealed, and people can see the true' suffering' of working people in the period of peace and prosperity. It is conceivable that a woman living in the rich and beautiful south of the Yangtze River would be very happy if her husband and wife were not separated because of the foreign war. "Today is dusk, Tao Ren, today it's your family. It is better to pick mulberry leaves in the south of the official road than to pick lotus leaves on the river. " This third layer is the loyal love and liberation of the lotus picking woman to her husband. Said that she would neither treat him as a lecher, nor have the troubles that haunt your monarch like Qin Rover. Although tortured by thoughts, I am very open-minded and strong. "Lotus after lotus, why should the flowers and leaves be folded? Ye Cuiben is ashamed of her eyebrows, and her bonus is as strong as her cheeks. " This is the fourth floor. It says that when picking lotus, women compare themselves to flowers. Lotus blossoms are so dense and flourishing, but I am alone. Although the lotus leaf is green, it can't compare with your eyebrows. Although the lotus leaf is red, it can't compare with its cheeks. She is self-admiring and narcissistic about her beauty. "Women are pleasing to themselves." Although people are beautiful, no one appreciates them, so appreciation and intoxication are accompanied by sadness and regret. "The wind is not here, and I feel disappointed when I leave. Love flowers, love lotus roots. Therefore, there is no place for love, and new things are nothing more than gorgeous. I don't hesitate to pay attention to the Western Jin Dynasty, and I am ashamed of Beihai's delay in writing geese. " On this last floor, it is written that the lotus picker sighs that beauty cannot stay forever. She is proud of her youth and beauty and feels sorry for herself. Her sweetheart is not around, and her youth can't be preserved forever. When her husband comes back, her youth may be gone. I can't help looking at the place where they broke up and recalling the scene of "holding flowers and loving each other". The traces of the sweetness of the old days are hard to find, and new flowers are in sight. Things have changed, but my heart has not changed. "I don't hesitate to mourn in the Western Jin Dynasty" is an allusion to Zheng Jiaofu's encounter with immortals, which shows that although she is lovesick, she still has no regrets about her love with her husband. But she was dissatisfied with her husband's delay in writing. She can't bear to blame her husband for not writing to herself. She only said that "the book written by the geese in Beihai was late", and Su Wu's allusion was used here, which meant that the book could not arrive smoothly as soon as possible because of the long journey. However, the girl who picked the lotus doesn't seem to think that her husband's failure to write means that she may be injured or killed in the battle. She waited hopefully. This poem can be said to be the inner monologue of a lotus picking woman. From this monologue, we can see how bright, pure and kind her heart is.
"Picking lotus songs is a festival, and picking lotus leaves all night. Just as the mighty river prevailed, it was worth visiting the river last month. Meet in Lianpu at night, Wu Nv! * * * How heavy is Guanshan Road? " This is the end of this poem. The first four sentences describe the scene of the lotus pond by the river in autumn night. The moon shines in the sky, the breeze blows the vast river, and the water waves are silver. There were bursts of songs in the lotus pond, and the girls who picked the lotus did not rest. In the last four sentences, tourists meet all the lotus picking women and witness them asking each other about their husbands. This group of beautifully dressed lotus pickers are preparing to go home, although there is no one waiting for them tonight!
He Shang commented on the poem "Lotus Picking Song" in "Poetry in the Wine Garden" and said: "At the end of the narrative, I turned around and said,' It's just that the mighty river has the upper hand and it's worth wandering by the river last month. Meet in Lianpu at night, what about Wu Nv? * * * How much is Guanshan Road, a thousand miles from the Han River?' Not particularly confused and elegant, the posture is sultry. It's especially right to get along. "
This poem "Lotus Picking Song" is rich and vivid in content and beautiful in words, and it is an excellent poem with the most realistic color. Gorgeous words, clear syllables, and repeated melodies are not suspected of being laid out here, but more perfectly represent the content of poetry. Mao Shuxian commented in "Debate on Poetry": "Wang Zian's seven-character ancient style can be separated from Yuefu, which is naturally elegant without hurting the quality." The ending is ingenious and unique in brushwork. Poets are good at depicting typical images and making a high degree of artistic generalization, which makes the social problems reflected in poetry both profound and broad.
