Appreciating Poetry from the Perspective of Emotion and Scenery

My poetry appreciation order is roughly like this, for your reference:

Step 1: Understand the writing background.

To appreciate a poem, I will know the author's life first, and the most important thing is to know what kind of environment he was in when he wrote it (take Li Bai as an example, is he just out of Sichuan and full of ambition? Or was it demoted? )。 All scenery words are love words. But in the eyes of different people, the feelings behind the scenery are different. Knowing the author's situation when writing poetry can help us understand why poets feel different from others in such a situation.

Step 2: Read through the poem and understand it yourself.

The second step is to read ancient poems by yourself (you can read them at your favorite pace when no one is around). When you meet a word you don't understand, you can guess it yourself in the context. It is best to imagine the picture directly from the poem. The most typical example is Liu Zongyuan's "Then, at sunrise, he walked through the fog, leaving only his oars creaking in the green mountains and rivers". If you can imagine that scene at once. It is a great sense of accomplishment to understand the second half sentence. When a fisherman says "yes", the scenery suddenly becomes clear and vivid. What's more, after you have your own basic understanding, you won't be taken away by these words.

Step 3: Appreciate the specific words.

The next step is to find the sentence or word you think you particularly like in this poem. Then try to analyze why I especially like this poem or this word from its rhythm, rhythm, rhetoric, conciseness and accuracy. This step is very important, and of course, from the perspective of examination, it is also the most examined. But I think it's interesting. For example, you can brainstorm and find as many angles as possible to appreciate a poem (exhaust all possibilities) ~ Of course, we will encounter unspeakable reasons, but we just like that sentence. In my experience, this kind of sentence is often my favorite ~)

Step 4: Stones from other mountains can attack jade.

After you have your own understanding of a poem, you can find some literary experts' appreciation of it online or from books. In contrast, we will find that there are some levels and angles that we have never found in reading, and some understandings are unique to us. This process can help us to read poetry more deeply and comprehensively. I have probably listened to four teachers' poetry appreciation programs and read more than a dozen books on poetry appreciation, among which modern teachers Ye Jiaying and Monman's books are very concise and elegant. Ye Jiaying is clearer and deeper; Meng Man is more interesting and emotional. They are all my favorites.

Step 5: My reading experience

The last step is to write down my opinions on this poem, and what touched you (I often write a lot). Because after going to college, you can read the works of your favorite poets, such as Li Bai and Meng Haoran, and don't worry about others (don't tell Mr. Ke hahaha). This step can try to analyze the reasons why it touched you from many angles. For example, the author's emotional changes, the rhetorical devices used (metaphor
