1. Sin Sacrifice
-Sacrifice for the sinful nature of human beings
Indicates the direction of sacrifice
3 Since the law was unable to do something because of the weakness of the body, God sent his own son into the shape of a sinful body, made a sin sacrifice, and condemned the crime in the body, (Rom. 8: 3) < (Rom. 6:23)
According to the law, almost everything is clean with blood, and if there is no blood, there is no forgiveness for sin. (Hebrews 9:22)
II. Types of Sacrifice
I. Atonement for priests 3-12
-Religious atonement
This is to deal with the sin of faith
As a mediator between gods and men, priests handle the affairs of faith. Therefore, the sin that the priest can make the congregation fall into sin means that it is a sin related to the level of faith. Therefore, priests must be holy to be competent as mediators.
Christ is our high priest and the mediator between us and God. He was born under the law for us (Gal. 4: 4) and fulfilled the righteousness of the law and became our high priest and mediator.
Jesus answered, "Please allow me for a while, because we should do all kinds of righteousness in this way." So John promised him. (Matt 3:15)
II. Atonement for the congregation 13-21
-collective atonement
This is to deal with the sin at the church level
26 The church should be cleansed by water and made holy, 27 it can be dedicated to itself and become a glorious church, free from defilement, wrinkles and other diseases, but holy and flawless. (Ephesians 5:26-27)
