Jiashan Tian Ge is a representative variety of Wu Ge, which is rich in the characteristics of Jiangnan water town, beautiful and moving, and is a valuable cultural heritage of national music. Its tunes are varied, including dripping sound, yangko, ditty, sheepish head, sharp song, flat tone and so on. Some of these tunes are smooth, some are melodious and high-pitched, and some are as urgent as spoken English. 200 1 China conservatory of music and Zhejiang conservatory of music held a national seminar on "Tian (Shan) Song", which comprehensively summarized its history and future development and re-recognized it in practice. The author of Jiaxing put forward the idea of creating a musical "Five Girls" at the seminar.
The original musical Five Girls is based on Jiashan Tian Ge of the same name. In order to welcome the 7th China Arts Festival, Jiaxing Cultural Bureau, according to the instructions of the relevant leaders of the municipal party committee and municipal government, aimed at Jiashan Tian Ge story, a cultural resource with regional characteristics, and paid close attention to the repertoire construction. 2006 54 38+0- 10 invited artists from Beijing and Shanghai to form a creative team to create the musical Five Girls. In order to adapt to the expression form of music, after repeated discussions, the creative staff finally positioned the creative framework on the cultural background of the custom picture scroll. All the characters were active in the picture, all the plots were unfolded with genre paintings, and the stage was presented in a strong atmosphere of singing, dancing and music, which was both nice and beautiful. In the character design, three main characters, Xu Atian, Wu Girl and others, have been basically reshaped. In the plot structure, we should pay attention to the sense of rhythm suitable for musicals. The lines of the whole play are concise and lively, focusing on the intertwined and distinctive contradictions and conflicts in the relationship between the characters, which makes the characters vivid and different fates hold the audience's thoughts. Through nearly a year's continuous in-depth visits to Jiashan, Tongxiang, Haining, Pinghu and other rural areas, the creative staff finally completed the script and music creation in early 2003, and arranged to hold the first performance at Tongxiang Grand Theatre on February 20th and March 3rd.
The creative intention of the musical Five Girls is to adapt some traditional folk art into a fashionable stage art form and make it glow with new vitality. In fact, this is a new creation based on Tian Ge's music materials and folklore stories. Musical, which belongs to an artistic variety, integrates singing, dancing and acting, with catchy music, strong sense of form, simple plot and diverse forms of expression.
